Coach's Bio;

Coach Walker just finished 33 years association as a HS basketball coach. His last season as a head coach he served as girls varsity basketball coach at Hunterdon Central Regional High School (NJ). His team that year in 2014-15 won the schools only Hunterdon, Warren and Sussex Tri-County championship. In the finals his team defeated the two time defending champs with their division 1 bound forward. Coach Walker's freshman point guard was named tournament MVP under his guidance.

Coach has directed all HS levels including 7 years as a head boy’s coach at two different NJ High Schools. In 2006 coach was named County "Coach of the Year”. In 2003, coach was also honored by the NJ Star-Ledger and NJ Herald as West Jersey "Coach of the Year”.

In addition, Coach Walker has coached numerous boys and girls AAU travel teams in between his High School coaching stops while in NJ. The last 2 years Coach has led his daughters middle school teams to two championships in a row in his new home of North Carolina. Coach Walker also works closely with his hometown HS girls basketball head coach serving as an advisory assistant.

Coach started his early coaching career in 1987 as a boy’s high school assistant at St. Peters HS (New Brunswick, NJ). Coach Walker has also assisted Kevin Boyle with his NJ summer camp from 2010 to 2012. Coach Boyle has been recognized nationally with ESPN, USA Today & Naismith “coach of the year” honors while at St. Patrick's (Elizabeth, NJ). Coach Boyle helped tutor the Nets Kyrie Irving (as his HS coach) as well as current Piston, Cade Cunningham while at Montverde HS (FL).

During Coach Walker's career he also had the opportunity to work with Jason Williams (ESPN's J-Will) formally of Duke University. Jason went on to win an NCAA championship and was also named 2001 NCAA player of the year. Ironically, both Jason and Coach played basketball and graduated from Sacred Heart School in South Plainfield, NJ. 

Coach Walker went on and was a 2 year varsity letter winner in both basketball and football at South Plainfield HS. He later went on to play basketball at Middlesex County College before starting an early coaching career.
